How we do it.
Tepo focusses on 15 categories of operational cost (excluding teachers’ pay) that are found in almost every educational establishment (and compares your schools KPI performance to schools of a similar size).
Tepo identifies the top 5 areas for efficiency improvement and cost saving and if required, will help you implement the recommendations as quickly and as painlessly as possible.
Assistance in the implementation of recommendations can be facilitated either directly with Tepo or with the help of a network of trusted partners. These partners are subject matter experts and can be relied upon to bring their expertise to the benefit of Swiss education establishments.
Alternatively, Tepo can negotiate directly with new suppliers of your choice either by helping to issue RFPs (Requests for Pricing) for new services or by negotiating with your existing suppliers for better value.

What is the Deliverable?
The Operational Health Check.
This is a detailed review examining all areas of operational spend, other than teachers’ pay, and delivers up to 30 KPIs from which we identify the top 5 areas of opportunity to make improvements and to save money.
Areas of focus are typically in the highest spend areas and are analysed on a cost per unit basis eg. cost per student, cost per square metre etc. Typical high cost areas include:

The process is quick and easy and non-intrusive. Much depends on the size of your establishment. It normally takes less than a 3 days to assess a school with more than 500 students and a day (or 2) for smaller schools.
Fees
Tepo operates on a simple flat fee basis for the delivery and presentation of the
Operational Health Check results comprising a written executive review with a presentation and recommendations.
